The Flour Bluff Wetland Ambassadors conducted their monthly water and air quality survey on March 21. In addition to their data collection they conducted a native plant survey with local botanists at Redhead Pond Wildlife Management Program. In the past two years invasive species at Redhead Pond have been removed and native species have been planted. The Wetland Ambassadors walked across the area tallying number plants seen and recording species present. Even though it started pouring rain during the event, students were not deterred from their data collection. A topic discussed was how would native plant species react when the acidify ocean and surrounding coastal areas.
